Doris!
We love Doris. She is great. Hubby went to collect her yesterday and yes she needs some love and attention but we are up for that. She belonged to someone who died recently (not inside her thank goodness!) and she hadn't been used for a long time so she is a little bit rough round the edges but we will soon get her ship shape and for £226.50 we can't grumble.
The plan is to renew the curtains and cushion covers, paint the walls and woodwork and repaint the outside. She is currently a kind of white and poo brown combo with lots of areas where the paint has rubbed off?! So we are thinking to keep with the retro feel, we will repaint her possibly a cream colour with sage green. Bit more palatable. And inside is my decision really, will probably be cream but will see when I can find some fabric suitable for the curtains etc. Will get a new floor too, we are thinking of a rubber floor with the coin sized circles - wipe clean but not as loud as lino as the dog has a habit of pacing up and down which would be soooo annoying on lino, click click click of the claws....
Am ever so slightly excited! Dropped her off at her home for now at cousin Gareths, and we are back there today to make a proper list of things to do and take away the soft furnishings so I can be sorting them out at home..... Big grins all round :D

My head today
whistling kettle
cute storage containers
enamel mugs and plates
funky trays with floral patterns
retro cutlery
a camping kitchen for cooking outside
washing line
how to keep Harry from falling out of bed in the van as he is used to being in a cot!
....these are the thoughts from my head today
oh and in the real world
will I find more reliable work
reader offer people working for magazines are queer folk
that is all.

So many ideas
What do make/do...?
Cushion covers

Applique babygrows
Buggy liners
Where the hell to start?
Jeepers.
I'll let you know when I know.
